A label is a piece of paper, polymer, cloth, metal, or other material affixed to a container or article, on which is printed a legend, information concerning the product, addresses, etc. A label may also be printed directly on the container or article. Labels have many uses: product identification, name tags, advertising, warnings, and other communication. Special types of labels called digital labels (printed through a digital printing) can also have special constructions such as RFID tags, security printing, and sandwich process labels. From Google News Search: "Labels" How do you keep labels from peeling off a beer bottle collection? Q. I have a modest beer bottle collection and I'm afraid that the labels will begin peeling off. I was thinking there might be some sort of craft stuff that I might be able to spray or brush over the labels to keep them from coming off. Any ideas? Though this "technique" works with still life drawings (pencil, charcoal, etc.) I think it can apply to stickers and labels as well. Spray it with hairspray. It's a sticky spray, and (as in still life), it prevents smudging and keeps the paper from curling and becoming dog-eared. Alternatively, you may use scotch tape. Get it? Scotch? Excuse me. It's pretty transparent if stuck to the label correctly. In fact, it doesn't need to show on the front. Stick a thin piece to the back of the label and place it on the beer bottle. Quite simple. :D Good luck! Answered by Sarabear - Mon Oct 12 12:41:11 2009 How can I remove only a few labels from an arcgis map? Q. I can't seem to be able to remove just a few labels from a group on an arcgis map. It is a map of the West Indies displaying the labels of the countries and cities (major ones). However, it also shows territories belonging to the US, France, and the United Kingdom. I don't want it to show the country label for, for example, Puerto Rico (city names are fine). I've looked in the labels and tried making a separate class but no dice. What can I do? Asked by Chris - Sat Oct 11 23:38:51 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments A. Q. I like to know how many calories I'm consuming, but I just moved to England and I have no idea if the "Kcal" amount on English nutrition labels is the same as "Calories" on the American label. The Dietary Calorie The calorie is a unit used in the definition of specific heat, the specific heat of water being assigned the value 1 calorie/gram C. That is, a calorie is the amount of heat necessary to raise the temperature of one gram of water by 1 degree Celsius. The unit which is commonly used for the measurement of the energy content of foods is the kilocalorie, but it is commonly called a Calorie with an upper case "C" to distinguish it from the smaller physical calorie. It is also referred to as a "dietary Calorie". dietary Calorie = 1 kilocalorie = 1000 calories A common example to give perspective on food energy is the amount of energy in a single peanut. That energy is commonly quoted as 5 Calories. If so, it can heat a… [cont.] Answered by Doctor C. - Fri Sep 29 06:11:16 2006 From Yahoo Answer Search: "Labels" |
