How does one get tax credit or exemption for historical preservation or living history?
Q. I am new at reenacting(civil war) and I understand I can claim my expenses but I don't know how. Anyone know what I should do? I live in West Virginia, but that shouldn't matter because it's my Federal form I need to make my credit/exemption on.

How can I show rental history for someone living in my home?
Q. How can I show rental history for someone living in my home who is not on a lease but pays part or all of the mortgage? Whatever the answer, will it be suffice for the next rental agency or mortgage company when she tries to buy her own home or rent an apartment/housel?
Asked by New2This - Tue Jan 16 18:01:13 2007 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. If the person is living under the same roof as you, they're typically considered a roommate, not a renter, but this is a bit of a gray area amongst mortgage lenders. For the purposes of procuring a mortgage for her, many non-prime lenders don't mind, and will simply require that you provide 12 months' worth of canceled checks to prove her rental history with you. With regards to a new lessor, her residence in your home could count as rental history, but would depend on the property management company to which she applies.

Was the book "Living History" by Hillary Clinton good?
Q. I really want to buy it, so I'm just wondering what you thought of it.

A. I've picked it up at a yard sale, for 50 cents thinking it would sell on E Bay. I still have it. A brief look reminded me of all the self serving political books, boring. Here is one review: Pros: History in the making one persons view. Cons: Too long, dull in places with her dislike of the Republicans is evident. After reading this book it became obvious to me that the goal of Hillary was too eventually to become the first woman President of the United States. Even from her childhood recollections and there were many, she portrays a political desire to make waves.

A. There are probably no famous people living as ghosts... They have probably all gone to the Light... Ghosts are not what we all become when we die, only some of us choose to hang around, and for a myriad of reasons... But even the most stubborn ghost must eventually go into the Light... Some may hang around for centuries, but to them time means nothing, as our dimension is the only one which measures time... In Light... )O(

A. Do you have an historical society in your area? They were very helpful in providing information on my 1919 cape cod. Also, I checked old census records on the people who lived at that address. Our library also had some interesting information about the history of that area where the house was located. Ask a reference librarian for assistance in your search.

A typical western living room will be furnished with a sofa, chairs, occasional tables, a television or stereo equipment, bookshelves, as well as other pieces of furniture. Traditionally a sitting room in the United Kingdom would have a fireplace. In Japan people traditionally sat on tatami instead of chairs but western style decor is also common these days. In the United States, sometimes the living room is reserved for more formal and quiet entertaining while a separate recreation room or family room is used for more casual activities.
