A. I don't think there's an English word that would aptly translate "makulit" in the the exact sense as how we Filipinos use the word. But, the closest words I could think of are: (1) annoying (2) pesky (3) infuriating (4) vexatious.. and if it's "makulit" in a positive way, you could also say "persistent" "Napilitan" or "Napilitan lang" in English is "I was forced".

A. Yeah, Zen is right, there really is no English translation for "makulit." It could mean being pesky or silly. If a person keeps asking the same thing over and over, Filipinos tell him, "Makulit ka." If a person cracks jokes or does something silly (funny facial expressions or hand gestures), that's also "makulit." :)

A. not all are like that..although there are some who are..i think Pinoy men are just scared to lose their girlfriends that's why they tend to become over protective especially when their girl's in the constant company of other guys. (like at work or at school) mine is very seloso during the early period of our relationship especially with my exs..but now he's learning to mellow down the jealousy tantrums...yeah..i did noticed that he's starting to change. he said he's learning to not to be jealous all the time and "ilugar ang pagiging seloso nya" to avoid conflicts between us.. just try to talk to your guy and tell him what u feel..it will help u guys with ur relationship. open communication between u guys are important... :)
