Why do women get jealous of other women who receive gifts from a male?
Q. At work, some women are friendly with me, but when I decide to give a gift, or candy like for valentine's Day to a certain woman out of kindness, other women get very jealous, And these women are already married, or have boyfriends? Is there something wrong with these women relationships? Do I show a trait that their lovers don't show. Once a woman manipulated me to give her flowers for her birthday, and she's already married too. What's up? Please give me some advice about these kind of women. Thanks!

A. That's so easy. They hate the fact that their guys can't do the same thing.

What motivations do women have to critique feminism?
Q. Men are doing it because they "hate women" according to the local feminists here, so I was just wondering why some women do it and say some of the same things we do. There are many women that critique feminism and some of them are gaining popularity and exposure. Among them are Christina Hoff Summers, Carrie Lukas, and Wendy McElroy. When you read the works of the afore mentioned women you get a sense that they are truly interested in equality and the organizations they represent are indeed egalitarian movements. Some women here deny that feminism has the capability to be anything other than a wondrous "happy place." So men critique feminism because they hate women apparently. Do women also hate women when they critique feminism?

A. Certainly hating women can't be the reason for critiquing feminism. Seeing that most women hate women more than just about any man could ever hate them. I think we'd see WAY more women critiquing it if that were the cause. The only reason women would have to critique it is morality. That is all. Feminism, at this point, is simply gaining more and more special treatment/privileges for women. So, it only helps them. Why would anyone even think about going against their own special privileges? Well, morality remains as the only reason left. Let's see just how much they have... Numerous fems claim that, "Well I'm a feminist and I just want equality not special rights and privileges." How often do women get away with domestic violence these days?
Q. I know there are some women who are perpretrators of domestic violence and are very manipulative towards their husbands. A woman wouldn't go to jail. If it was vice versa, the heat is on. A woman hits a man, she gets no punishment. I know there are some abusive men who deserve a little more credit because they're the ones defending themselves. There are cops who arrest women and also deserves a little credit. In this day and time, how often do women get away with domestic violence and often manipulate their husbands?

How come women have such low self confidence and rely on men to supply them with confidence?
Q. It's almost like women rely on men to give them confidence. If a man tells a woman she looks good her confidence is high. But if a man tells a woman she's ugly her confidence hits rock bottom. I think women should not care about what men think of them as long as they like the person they are. Men rely on our inner strength for confidence. We could care less about a woman's opinon of us.

How can women advocate groups not support Palin?
Q. Are these organizations really advocating women or ONLY women who have the same ideas as they do? If that's the case, shouldn't they be "liberal women advocate groups" since they don't support conservative women? Well, if they want women to have the right to choose to abort a baby, then shouldn't they just be pro-choice organizations? And how can they think women are smart enough to have an abortion, but need to tell them who to vote for???

I still worry about age because we live in a society where there is prejudice against older people. Like people can help getting older - what else can they do - die? Health seems to be more important after your late 30s, and you quit worrying about things like always looking perfect. A. There are any number of absorbent materials which can be used to catch menstrual fluid. Mostly, women used rags, which they soaked in cold water and then washed and reused. Soaking in cold water will remove most of the fluid. Washing a protein stain (and that's what menstrual fluid is, a protein stain) will generally "cook" the protein and set it. This is also what people did in the days before disposable diapers. If you're really interested in learning more, you can visit the online Museum of Menstruation. This site does discuss menstruation frankly, so don't click the link unless you're prepared to deal with it. I don't consider anything on the site to be especially shocking, but I'm less easily shocked than most people. … [cont.]

What do women think when other women check out their legs?
Q. I have noticed that so many women check out other women's legs when they are wearing skirts when I am at work. I find this bizarre because you wouldn't get men checking out other men's legs. Why do women do this? And I was just wondering how women felt about other women checking out their legs? Do any women like other women checking out their legs?

A. I have no idea why but I check out other girls legs all the time... I think it is nice for women to appreciate nice features on other women so I don't mind when other girls look at my legs either. At the end of the day if they are wearing a skirt someone is gonna look at their legs so why cant i be one of them? I think girls are just naturally more likely to check out other women's features cos we tend to be a little bit more comfy with our sexually and we know it doesn't mean we r gay just because we can appreciate a set of hot legs.

How did marriage and women s roles change from Colonial period to the Republican Period?
Q. How did marriage and women s roles change from the Colonial period to the Republican Period, into the 19th c. Industrial Period. A. In the Colonial period, women's work was vital to the survival of the colonies. Their role in cloth production was particularly important, as cloth was in very short supply in the early colonies, spinning and weaving were vital female skills. They raised poultry, milked cows, made their own butter and cheese, brewed the ale that people drank instead of water, grew vegetables, preserved food for winter, tended the sick, and in the southern colonies in the early decades they often laboured in the fields beside the men. During the later colonial period their economic importance declined somewhat, as more ready-made good became available, and their role as producers was no longer seen as vital. What will happen when women overtake men in power and income?
Q. As I've progressed to my 1st year in graduate school, I've noticed that the classes are now about 75% women. But since women do like their men to earn at least an equal income, what will happen as more women take away good jobs from men?

Q. As I've progressed to my 1st year in graduate school, I've noticed that the classes are now about 75% women. I like working with women better because they seem to communicate better during projects and have good ideas. (Personal relationships is a whole different story though). But since women do like their men to earn at least an equal income, what will happen as more women take away good jobs from men?

How women contribute to the success of the team ? How do they balance their personal & professional lives ?
Q. 1. How do & can women contribute to the success of the team? 2. How do they balance the tight rope walk between their personal & professional Lives? Am looking forward to "insightful" responses from women in particular. Thanks.

A. You can do everything if you are organised. I have a 1 year old daughter, work 14 hours and am in the 3rd year of degree. Its all about time management and planning and ensuring you never let anyone down so they trust in you.

2 women sharing a household; how do they work out the homemaking and housekeeping preferences?
Q. It is often said that two women can't be in the same kitchen. (actually my husband and I are like that) Lets say 2 women have raised their families and divorced and are living together (gay or not), any suggestions on how to adjust as both may be set in their ways?

A. Perhaps a list is in order. Each one has to follow their well-planned list and deadlines of which are embedded into it.

Do women possess maps or the ability to seek and follow directions to a location BEFORE setting out?
Q. BTW I do not hesitate to stop and ask for directions when I have not had the foresight or wherewithall to have obtained a map or accurate directions beforehand...AND I am not alone as a man who is tired of hearing the negative stereotype that men don't stop to ask for directions. Is it time yet for women to realize that ALL negative stereotyping leads to misunderstandings and negativity? When will women become equal to all the millions of men who already get it? My soulmate and I - both humanists...not feminists nor male"ists" - were wondering how many of you obsessive instant answerers were poised at your keyboards on a Sunday morning answering inane trivial questions...I said many, she said almost none. We also wagered on what percent… [cont.]

A. No, woman will look up the information before setting out when your not looking, that way they can make you feel inferior to them. They will also direct an argument away from what the real argument is about to make them right and you wrong. Just agree or pretend you are impressed with their abilty to "problem solve" and you can't go wrong!!
